- According to USR Customer Service if your USR V.Everything has a serial
- number starting with "000955------" your modem is upgradeable without
- having to send it back to USR for the update for Distinctive Ring and
- Caller ID.
-
- Any other serial number that does not start with the 000955 has a
- daughterboard and will have a serial number according to many factors.
- The old TERBO, the 21.6 and the original 16.8 all have different serial
- numbers but could have all been upgrade via daughterboards to the 28.8.
- All these type of modems must be factory updated.
-
- If you want further confirmation on this just call Customer Service at USR.
